Bike Ride

The last time I rode a century bike ride (100 miles) was 14 years ago when I rode the Hilly Hundred in Indiana. My goal, once life settles down just a bit, is to train up for a century ride once again. Today, I biked 24 miles, which is not 100, but it’s a start. While riding in my solitude, I found myself humming “Bike Ride…” to C.W. McCall’s 1975 hit novelty song “Convoy”, and the next thing I knew, I was working out spoof lyrics to a 51-year old song.

It’s not high art, but it kept me entertained for 24 miles.
