Wolfsong Diner does not exist in the physical, commercial, bricks-and-mortar world. It is entirely a construct of my imagination. Having said that, Wolfsong Diner is as real and vibrant as anything on the Internet.
My name is Zev Winicur, and I started Wolfsong Diner many years ago as a writing exercise. This was partly to communicate my thoughts with the outside world, but mostly to preserve new experimental recipes and archive old family recipes so that my family and friends could get to them again and again. I have been an ovo-lacto vegetarian for 30+ years, but recently I have become much more “intersectional” in my approach to cooking. Most of my recipes are gluten-free to address my family’s personal health needs. Many of my recipes are vegan, to appease my desire to leave the world in slightly better shape than when I found it. Wolfsong Diner is for my family, my friends, and for any of you vegan-curious, gluten-sensitive, experimental culinary wayfarers.
Professionally, I am a pharmaceutical medical science liaison and part-time religious school instructor. Unprofessionally, I am a family chef, vegetarian caterer, and culinary dilettante. Y’all enjoy.
